In The Spotlight
Deltona Red Hat Ladies
The Red Hat Society is a national organization, originally founded in 1998 by Sue Ellen Cooper of Fullerton, California for women over 50. The idea came about when Ms. Cooper gave a friend a Red Fedora on her 55th birthday, that she had previously purchased at a thrift store which is how the idea of the Red Hat Society was created. Now there are Red Hat Society chapters all over the country.
The organization has proven to be a great way for mature women to interact with each other, stay active and enjoy leisure activities with women in their own peer group.
Each month Deltona Red Hat Ladies explore fun and exciting places to go. They get a kick out of wearing their red and purple outfits and just having a great time sharing friendships and taking getting older gracefully.
If you are interested in joining the Deltona Red Hats contact Mary Micelli or Mary Lou Cookson at 386-574-0060.
